A gluten-Free Week in Hida
We are mapping the existing gluten-free meals in Hida Furukawa and the wider region.
In Hida Furukawa you can wander quiet streets lined with wooden merchant houses, watch carp drift through the Setogawa canal and explore the workshops and museums connected to the Hida master carpenter tradition. Or hike into the forested hills and mountains dotted with waterfalls and yakusō herbs.
Warm up with Hoba Miso grilled in the snow or BBQ Hida beef over local lava stone at a riverside campsite.
